Why can I preview a method but not save?
Some obscuring methods are tied to Plus or Pro. You can still preview them before deciding to unlock.
Are my photos uploaded?
Plate detection and shielding run on your device. Your photos are not uploaded for processing. The app connects to download partner logo packs and to handle purchases through Apple.
How do I restore purchases?
Open PlateShield settings and use the restore purchases action.
Where are processed photos saved?
Saved photos go back into your Photos library and are grouped into the PlateShield album. Photos are exported as full-resolution JPEGs, including when the original was a RAW file.
How many photos can I import at once?
With batch mode enabled, Free supports up to 4 photos and Plus supports up to 10. Pro supports experimental batches of up to 25 photos. Choose 10 or 25 in Settings; switch to 10 if large batches cause stability issues.
Do I need Plus to use a partner logo?
No. Partner Logos are available with Free, Plus, and Pro. Redeem a code from a partner club, meetup, or brand to unlock its logo pack.
What do Plus and Pro unlock?
Plus adds White and Blur styles, Adaptive Blend, alternate app icons, and 10-photo batches. Pro includes those features and adds Color shields, Custom Logo, Custom Plate, and the experimental 25-photo option. See the full feature comparison.
Is this a subscription?
No. Plus and Pro are separate one-time purchases that never expire. They are linked to your Apple ID and can be restored. Your local App Store price appears before purchase.
Can I shield plates in a video?
Video support is coming soon and is not yet available in the App Store version. The current release processes photos.
