PlateShield Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 23, 2026

PlateShield is designed to process photos locally on your iPhone. This policy explains what information is used, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Information We Process

PlateShield processes photos that you choose from your photo library so license plates can be detected and obscured. Photo processing is performed on-device.

PlateShield does not require account creation and does not ask for your name, phone number, or physical address.

2. Photos Permission

If you grant Photos access, PlateShield can import images and save processed results back to your library in a dedicated album named PlateShield. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

3. Purchases

Paid features (Plus and Pro) are provided as one-time in-app purchases through Apple. Purchase processing, billing, and transaction records are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policies.

4. Support Communications

If you contact support at contact@plateshield.app, your email address and message content will be used only to respond to your request and provide support.

5. Data Sharing

PlateShield does not sell personal data. App functionality is primarily local to your device. Data may be processed by Apple where required for App Store transactions.

6. Data Retention

Processed images that you save remain in your Photos library until you delete them. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve support issues and maintain basic support history.

7. Children's Privacy

PlateShield is not directed to children under 13. If you believe personal information from a child has been sent to support, contact us and we will review removal requests promptly.

8. Changes To This Policy

This policy may be updated over time to reflect product or legal changes. The effective date at the top indicates the latest revision.
